Rugged Andesite and Good Views -Usutaibe Senjoiwa Rocks in Esashi-

Usutaibe Senjoiwa Rocks (ウスタイベ千畳岩) are andesite covered with a shore in Esashi located in the northern part of Asahikawa city and were named after the state like tatami‐floored shore. Usutaibe (ウスタイベ) is the name of the Cape and there is the Usutaibe Senjoiwa Rocks at the tip of the cape. This neighborhood is maintained as Okhotsk Prefectural Nature Park (オホーツク道立自然公園), and Usutaibe Camping Ground (ウスタイベキャンプ場) with a high reputation is built. The camping ground is large, too, and campers can enter grassy ground with their motorbike or their cars directly. Admission free. A parking lot and camping grounds are free of charge.
There are restrooms, a common kitchen and gazebos in a site, and a view is good without blocking our views. Wild flowers such as Achillea Alpina Subsp. Japonica are in bloom on the Senjoiwa Rocks, so everybody will enjoy wild flowers. Drift ice come alongside the pier in a winter. Esashi Crab Festival is held at this place.
