Italian Pastry of Peache Crepe and Crostata of Lily Bulb -Ciccio Pasticcio in Hakodate-
December 13th, 2014
Ciccio Pasticcio (チッチョ パスティッチョ) is a popular italian pastry store in Ishikawa-cho, Hakodate city and was founded in 1997. The store is built at a residential area, and there is a building near Tsuruha drug store. Ciccio Pasticcio means pretty pastry shop in Italian baby-talk. An owner trained himself in Italy and learned genuine italian sweets. In Hokkaido, it is unusual for us to eat the Italian sweets.
At the store, cakes, baked confectioneries, gelaos are sold. A waitress was very kind, and she told me about the cakes in various ways. I used her talking as reference, I ordered Peach Crepe (桃のクレープ * JPY 356) and Crostata of Lily Bulb (百合根のクロスタータ * JPY 356). There were 2 reasons that I chose. The first reason was that the Peache Crepe was sold well. The second reason was that this pastry store only cooked Crostata of Lily Bulb in Japan. A place for customers to enjoy foods and drinks is also at the store, and visitors can enjoy.
As for the Peach Crepe, a peice of the peach was covered with rounded crepe. The crepe was soft, and taste of cheese and cream were exquisitely delicious. I was glad that it was not too sweet. The Crostata of Lily Bulb was a dish rather than a pastry. A sweetness was just right. The lily bulb was slightly sweet and had a unusual texture.
