Taste of Sake Lees Soft Serve Ice Cream Is Interesting -Chitosetsuru Sake Museum in Sapporo-
August 16th, 2015
Chitosetsuru Sake Museum (千歳鶴酒ミュージアム) is a liquor store of chitosetsuru in Chuo ward, Sapporo city. Chitosetsuru (千歳鶴) is a famous local brew in Sapporo. Nippon Seishu (日本清酒) runs it and visitors can sample sake and buy the sake, too. At an entrance, the visitors can drink mother water used in the sake. It seems to be the water drawn up from 150 m underground. It was a slightly dry hard water when I drank.
There is a tea room at the building, and drinks such as coffee and cakes can be eaten. At the place, the visitors can eat a sake lees soft serve ice cream (酒粕ソフトクリーム) which is the speciality of this. I ordered it at a cash register. The price was JPY 300. The look was a common soft serve ice cream, but a taste was interesting. It tasted the sake lees slightly. The taste went well with the soft serve ice cream. When you want to eat a strange soft serve ice cream, it is recommended.
