September 11th, 2015
Steak House Vin (ステーキハウス ヴァン) is a steak restaurant in Wakkanai city. There is a building near Wakkanai station. It is known as the steak restaurant located in the northmost in Japan and visitors can eat soya beef (宗谷牛) at the restraunt. They garnered one star in MICHELIN GUIDE Hokkaido 2012 Special Edition. Business hours are, from 18:00 to 20:00, very short. An owner and his wife are at an old age and seemed to shorten working hours.
I visited here around 19:00 on weekdays. The restraunt had an atmosphere such as a bar. There were many tables and family customers seem to enjoy. One visitor sat at a counter seat. I sat at the counter seat, too, and read a menu. A dinner course menu had 3 types of diner course, A dinner course, B dinner course and C dinner course, and a reservation is necessary for only C course beforehand. I ordered A dinner course. The price is JPY 6200. While I was waiting for serving the dinner course, his wife talked to me, and I was very glad that his wife concerned about me.
Approximately 5 minutes later, tomato soup was served first. Tomato's sour taste was Tasty!
200 g sirloin steak (Soya beef), rice and salad were served successively. I sprinkled a little garlic soy sauce over the sirloin steak, and spreaded rich butter on the sirloin steak and ate it, it was too tasty!
Finally I drunk a coffee after the meal. Because I visited here by my car, I did not drink liquor. But a person liking liquor can enjoy the liquor, because wines had various brands.
