[Suage Plus in Sapporo] Soup Curry Plus Deep-Fried Ingredients on Skewers, Tasty Soup Curry with Shiretoko Native Chicken and Vegetables

Suage Plus (すあげプラス) is a popular soup curry restraunt founded in 2007 in Sapporo city, and the head office open a business in Susukino, Chuo ward. Suage corp runs it, and Mr. Kyoji Saito (齋藤 京司) is a company president. They have some branch restraunts in the Sapporo, and other company also open a business as the Suage in Tokyo. My visited restraunt is the head office. A building is at a back street of National Route 36, and nORBESA with a ferris wheel is a mark. Because large letters "Suage" are written on a wall, the building is easy to find. The restraunt is large, and counter seats and table seats are provided, and there are a lot of tables, so I guess that family customers and a large number of visitors also enjoy their meals.
Sapporo (札幌) that about 1,960,000 people live is the largest city in Hokkaido. Although there are various theories, its origin of the name is "Dry Big River (乾いた大きな川)" in Ainu language. A population of the Sapporo is the 4th largest city after Yokohama, Osaka and Nagoya in japan, and the population accounts for 36 % of Hokkaido's population! So the Sapporo has been flourished as the center of the Hokkaido. The area of the Sapporo is 1,121.26 km2, and is about as big as Hong Kong, and is the 7th largest city in the Hokkaido. The Sapporo is also famous as a tourist city, and about 15 million people come. As for a climate, it is hot that temperature rises to nearly 25 degrees in a summer, but it is easy to live without moisture. I always feel a little cool. It is cold that temperature falls to nearly -10 degrees in a winter, and amount of snowfall sometimes has more than 1 m. Article is here
Soup curry (スープカレー) is a dish to eat rice into soup using various spices with vegetables and meats. Only curry and rice was once a curry dish in Japan, but the soup curry has become popular for these 20 years. Ajanta (アジャンタ) and Magic Spice (マジックスパイス) in Sapporo sparked the soup curry boom, and it is said that the origin of the soup curry is medicinal cooking curry (薬膳カリィ) cooked by Mr. Muneo Tatsujiri (辰尻 宗男), ex-restraunt owner of the Ajanta, and a new genre of a curry dish has been established. After that, Mr. Taizan Shimomura (下村 泰山), a restraunt owner of the Magic Spice, named the curry dish as the soup curry, and it has widely spread. Article is here
When I visited here around 11:20, 10 minutes before opening time, on a weekday, 1 group of preceding visitors lined up in front of the entrance. I suppose that customers may not line up on weekdays. I sat a seat, and read a menu. As for a way of ordering, customers should choose a type of soup curry from 12 types, and should choose a type of soup from 2 types, and should choose a type of hotnesses from 6 types, and should choose a quantity of rice from 3 type. I chose best seller soup curry with shiretoko chicken and vegetables (パリパリ知床鶏と野菜カレー), suage soup (すあげスープ), medium-spicy and normal portion of rice. The price was JPY 1150.
About 15 minutes later, the soup curry was served. It featured that the vegetables were deep-fried without breading or batter and the ingredients were on skewers. The rice was blended red rice with rice produced in Hokkaido. The soup was light taste, and had umami. The ingredients had crispy texture, and was tasty. Thanks for the meal!
