A solitary oak tree grows around the hilltop of the Biri at about 260 m above sea level. Its height is around 13 m. In a summer, the vital power can be felt when branches are thickly covered with leaves. But it looks only just the tree with a lot of branches closely, so it is worth seeing at a little distance.
Some visitors only for seeing the tree seem to get discouraged, but if they take notice of scenery around, they will notice a lot of good views. Lined poplar trees along a road are a good view, too, and the tree goes well with colors of fields with Mt. Asahidake (旭岳) or Tokachidake Mountain Range (十勝岳連峰) as a backdrop, and a conbination of blue sky and the tree is comforatable, too. Good photographers seem to take a photo with using the difference in elevation of the fields at a distance.

By the way, Club Tourism (クラブツーリズム), a Japanese tour travel agency, provides various types of tours such as day trip tours or ordinary tours. In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol. Choosen tourist attractions are national parks such as Rishiri and Rebun, Shiretoko, and popular tourist places such as Furano and Biei, and some activities such as hiking and fruit picking are also enjoyed depending on seasons. If you are interested in tour trips, you should visit the club tourism's website for details.
