[Sumire Shokudo in Obira] Today's Seafood Rice Bowl Is Very Reasonable Price
Oshokuji-dokoro Sumire Shokudo (お食事処すみれ食堂) is a long-established restraunt founded in 1954 in Onishika, Obira town located in the northern direction of Rumoi city, and is near Onihsika Fishery Port and Onishika Twin Beach. They are famous for serving a large portion of ramen, curry and rice, pork cutlet rice bowl and so on, and fresh seafood such as sea urchin and scallop also has a good reputation, so the restraunt is very popular with tourists as well as local people.
The appearance and the interior decoaration have an atomosphere such as a typical Japanese restraunt. The restraunt is large, and table seats and small separate Japanese style rooms are provided, so I guess that even family customers and a large number of customers enjoy meals. But the restraunt is crowded with customers at lunchtime, so a line is expected.
Seafood Rice Bowl
I visited here around 13:00 on a weekday, and the restraunt was almost full. They had high popularity just as rumored. But I was able to enter the restraunt without waiting because it was just a time when other customers went back. I sat at a table seat, and read a menu. Today's Seafood Rice Bowl (本日の海鮮丼) was reasonable, so I ordered it. The price was JPY 1100. Customers can choose a bowl of small ramen or a bowl of miso soup. Because the small ramen seemed to be a large portion I chose the miso soup.
About 10 minutes later, the rice bowl was served with a large bowl of the miso soup and a dish of pickles. Rice was closely covered with slices of fresh scallop, a scallop mantle, slices of salmon, slices of octopus, slices of squid, slices of tuna, a sweet shrimp, slices of vinegared mackerel, rolled egg and flying fish roe. The appearance sharpened my appetite.
Wasabi was on the ingredients, so I mixed it with soy sauce in a small dish, and poured the wasabi with the soy sauce in the rice bowl. I ate it immediately. It was tasty! The seafood had crunchy texture. I especially like the fresh scallop and the scallop mantle. I could not stop eating. In addition, the miso soup had heads of sweet shrimps, and sweet shrimps soup broth was tasty, too. I was very satisfied. Thanks for the tasty meal!
