Seafood Rice Bowl with Tasty Salmon Roe, Sea Urchin, Scallop Are Good Combination -Kikuyo Shokudo Head Office in Hakodate-

Kikuyo Shokudo (きくよ食堂) is a long-established restraunt at Hakodate morning market in Hakodate city and was founded in 1956. Originally it was the restraunt that peddlers of the morning market used, but it became popular with tasty dishes. A lot of tourists visit this restraunt, and there are head office, branch office and bay area branch now. I visited the head office this time. An appearance of the restraunt had an atmosphere of the Showa period, and the restraunt was slim like a traditional house in Kyoto. There were many tables and family customers seem to enjoy.
I sat at the table and ordered Tomoe Rice Bowl (巴丼) that this restraunt was said to be an originator. The price was JPY 1680. This was the rice bowl with 3 kinds of seafood "Salmon Roe, Sea Urchin and Scallop". Tomoe is one of Japanese family coat of arms, it often means "3" in Japanese language. Because sea urchins and salmon roe are used with specially made sauce, I only poured soy sauce with grated wasabi into the scallop and ate. I felt that the sea urchin was very tasty whether this sauce was tasty, and I have eaten only sea urchin at the very beginning and all the seafood were surly tasty! In addition, iwanori miso soup went well with seafood rice bowl after all.
