Salmon Called TOKISHIRAZU Rice Bowl and Oyster Produced in Akkeshi -Shake Banya in Kushiro-
July 5th, 2014
Shake Banya (鮭番屋) is a seafood restaurant near Kushiro port in Kushiro city. The restraunt has an atomosphere such as seafood market. Marine products shop runs the seafood restaurant and visitors can eat fresh seafood. The visitors can choose a type of rice bowl and can choose to grill the seafood. In case of grilling the seafood, the visitors choose the seafood that the visitors want to eat and hand seafood to a waitress on a tray.
I ordered Salmon Rice Bowl (とき丼) and an oyster at this time. The prices were JPY 1450 in total. This salmon is called TOKISHIRAZU (トキシラズ), and it is catched from spring to summer. Because the salmon is catched in a season excepting an autumn that is a seasonal time, TOKISHIRAZU means "salmon does not know season" in Japanese language. TOKISHIRAZU is famous as a tasty salmon.
I went to a grilling place and a waitress grilled the seafood for customers. The grilling place is so large, so family customers seem to enjoy, and a charcoal fire to grill the seafood is hot. The seafood become delicious by the heat. Because the oyster produced in Akkeshi was grilled immediately with being fresh, the customers ate it without seasoning. It was tasty with slightly saltiness.
