[Rusutsu Onsen] Day Trip Onsen and Fresh Free Flowing Hot Springs Can Be Enjoyed for JPY 300
Rutsu Onsen (ルスツ温泉) is a hot spring place in Rusutsu town located in the north part of Lake Toya (洞爺湖). Only a building with a gable roof is built a little away from National Route 230. It takes about 5 minutes from the center of the Rusutsu by car. Unfortunately, restraunts, cafes, cafes, souvenir shops and convenience stores are not built around the building. Rusutsu means "A path at the foot of a mountain" in Ainu language. It is the origin of the Rusutsu Onsen that Rusutsu Onsen opened a business in 2000. There is Rusutsu Resort near here, too.
Day Trip Onsen
Visitors can take a day trip bath at Rutsu Onsen.
Rutsu Onsen is a hot spring facility for day trip onsen at a field, and has opened a business since 2000. It is popular for savoring fresh free flowing hot springs and cheap entrance fee to the bath facility for JPY 300. Especially, it may be said a place for relaxation and refreshment for local people. A building is small, and is not outstanding.
A public bathroom is not large, but it has a high ceiling, and its wall and ceiling are made of woods, so the warmth of a tree can be felt, and it does not give a feeling of pressure. I felt it was comfortable space. Trees instead of a blindfold fence can be seen through a window. In the evening, the trees at the outside seem to be lit up.
There is 1 indoor bathat the bathroom. The bath is the size that about 5 people can take a bath, and uses 100% natural free flowing hot springs. The fresh free flowing hot springs overflow from bath. I felt slippery when soak myself in the hot springs. Tiny air bubbles attaching on one's skin have a good reputation, too.
The hot springs are sodium chloride carbonated spring, and are slightly opaque and light yellow and have metallic taste and metallic odor. The hot springs seem to be drinkable, but I could not find a drinking hot spring facility. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 1.969 g/kg.
Shampoos and body soaps are not provided at the bathroom, so bathers must bring those. A restroom and a free hair dryer are installed at a dressing room. In addition, a resting place in front of the entrances of the bathrooms and a resting room are at the building, so visitors can use those freely. Local people that gathered at the resting room looked fun.
