Friendly Harbor Seals Can Be Seen -Senboushi-misaki Park in Rishiri Island-
October 4th, 2015
Senboshi-misaki Park (仙法志御崎公園) is located in the most southern part of Rishiri Island (利尻島) and is rocky seaside with many strangely shaped rocks. It is famous for seeing a harbor seal. It swims in a wall leisurely. The harbor seal seem to be borrowed from Wakkanai Noshappu Cold Current Museum (ノシャップ寒流水族館) or seem to be taken care of in the sea near the shore, and it is different harbor seal every year. Sometimes there is not the harbor seal. By the way, feeds for the harbor seal sold at a souvenir shop nearby. Probably the harbor seal might be friendly very much because it want to eat the feeds. Except the souvenir shop, there is a restroom at the site, too. Admission free. A parking lot is free of charge.
