Rich Taste Miso Ramen -Sumire Head Office in Sapporo-
February 6th, 2016
Sumire Head Office (すみれ本店) is a popular ramen restraunt in Nakanoshima, Toyohira ward, Sapporo city and was founded in 1964. This ramen restraunt's miso ramen has a long history. I have known Sumire for a long time, but I have never visited this restraunt. As for Sumire, Mrs. Akiko Muranaka (村中明子) is a founder, and her eldest son opened Junren (純連), famous ramen restraunt, and her third son opened Sumire. Collectively, they are called Junsumi-kei type (純すみ系). By the way, it is famous that an owner of Saimi (彩味), famous ramen restraunt, trained cooking at Sumire.
I visited here around 13:00 on weekdays. Timing might make customers change and there were a few csutomers at a building. The building was new and the appearance of the building and interior decoration were fresh. I sat at a counter seat and read a menu, and I ordered miso broth ramen (味噌ラーメン). The price is JPY 870. By the way, walls were covered by cards for autographs, and I was overwhelmed on that situation. Approximately 15 minutes later, the miso broth ramen was served. While waiting for the ramen, a lot of customers came to the ramen restraunt one after another. I was thinking of visiting here more later, I was happy to visit around 13:00.
I ate a sip of soup at once. It tasted rich salty-sweet and was fatty soup, and it tasted a little ginger. Hokkaido will be cold and the fat was much. Noodles were egg noodles made by Morizumi Noodles Factory and were length of approximately 20 cm. Ingredients were chopped roasted pork fillets, fried bean sprouts and ground meat, bamboo shoots and green oinons. At last I drunk up the soup, and letters of "Thank You" were written on the bottom of the ramen bowl. When I went out the ramen restraunt, 3 groups of customers lined up. I was lucky.
