Keserasera
Menya Keserasera (麺や けせらせら) is a popular ramen restraunt founded in 2008 in Kita ward, Sapporo city, and is adjacent to Taihei Funeral Hall (太平斎場), and is relatively near Yurigahara Station (百合が原駅) and Yurigahara Park (百合が原公園). The Keserasera (Que Sera Sera) means "Whatever will be, will be" in Spanish. Mr. Yoichi Nakayama (中山 洋一) is a ramen restraunt owner. The Keserasera is well-known for serving thick taste ramen made from Creamy Chicken Broth (鶏白湯). The ramen restraunt with an atmosphere such as a typical ramen shop is not large, and I guess that the ramen restraunt is full if 10 people enter the ramen restraunt. Counter seats and table seats are provided, so I guess that even family customers enjoy meals. But the ramen restraunt is crowded with customers in busy time.

Yurigahara Park
Yurigahara Park (百合が原公園) is a comprehensive park of 254,000 m2 in Kita ward, Sapporo city, and has opened since 1983, and is away from the center of the Sapporo. As its name suggests, lilies collected from all over the world are planted. * The Yurigahara means "A liliy field" in English. Here is famous for enjoying flowers and plants through the year, and about 6,400 types of the plants can be seen. I feel here is not a park but a garden, and think that it is comparable to famous gardens in Hokkaido, and the park that is able to be enjoyed in the Sapporo is one of the lagest gardens in the Hokkaido. Here is a peaceful place for Sapporo citizens, and I often see strolling local people, and a lot of families bring their tents to play themselves all day. Admission free. Parking lots are free of charge. Read More

SAPPORO
Sapporo (札幌) that about 1,960,000 people live is the largest city in Hokkaido. Although there are various theories, its origin of the name is "Dry Big River (乾いた大きな川)" in Ainu language. A population of the Sapporo is the 4th largest city after Yokohama, Osaka and Nagoya in japan, and the population accounts for 36 % of Hokkaido's population! So the Sapporo has been flourished as the center of the Hokkaido. The area of the Sapporo is 1,121.26 km2, and is about as big as Hong Kong, and is the 7th largest city in the Hokkaido. The Sapporo is also famous as a tourist city, and about 15 million people come. As for a climate, it is hot that temperature rises to nearly 25 degrees in a summer, but it is easy to live without moisture. I always feel a little cool. It is cold that temperature falls to nearly -10 degrees in a winter, and amount of snowfall sometimes has more than 1 m. Read More

Ramen of Hokkaido
Ramen is a noodle soup dish topped with ingredients. It is said that Chinese noodles is the root of the ramen, and there are various theories, for example, Mr. Mistukuni Tokugawa (徳川光圀 * Mitokomon (水戸黄門)) ate the ramen in 1697 for the first time in Japan or the first ramen was that Keitaimen noodles (経帯麺) served in 1488 was written in Biryueken Diary (蔭涼軒日録). Noodle soup dishes were spread out in Japan because Nanking noodles (南京そば) was served in various China Towns, Japan. In Hakodate with a China Town, Yowaken (養和軒) served the Nanking noodles in 1884. In Sapporo, it is a root of Sapporo Ramen that a noodle soup dish was cooked by Mr. Wang Wen Zai (王 文彩), a chief chef of Takeya Shokudo (竹家食堂), in 1922. Houran (芳蘭), a branch of the Takeya Shokudo, opened a business in 1933 in Asahikawa. Asahikawa Ramen, Sapporo Ramen and Hakodate Ramen called the 3 Major Ramen in Hokkaido were born. But current ramen do not succeed to the taste of those ramen. Read More

Creamy Chicken Broth Salt Ramen
I visited here on a weekday. An evening business hour started at 17:00, and 3 people formed a line before opening hour. After I entered the ramen restraunt, visitors came over in sequence. The restraunt became full in no time. It was very popular after all. I sat at a counter seat, and read a menu. Customers basically choose one among 3 types of ramen broth, Miso Broth Ramen (味噌らぁめん), Soy Sauce Ramen (醤油らぁめん) and Salt Broth Ramen (塩らぁめん). I was unable to make a decision. But I associated the Creamy Chicken Broth with the Salt Broth Ramen, so I ordered Creamy Chicken Broth Salt Ramen (塩らぁめん). The price was JPY 700.

About 3 minutes later, the Creamy Chicken Broth Salt Ramen was served. Roasted Pork Fillets, a soft-boiled egg marinated in soy and mirin, bamboo shoot, radish sprouts and green onions were on noodles. Light yellow soup was as a background, and the radish sprouts and the green onions of green color and the boiled egg of orange color stood out, and the ramen looked beautiful. It sharpened my appetite.

I had a sip of the soup immediately. It was very creamy taste, and was amazing! It was meltingly delicious! The milky white soup was beautiful, too. Tasty! The taste of soup resembled carbonara, and I think that carbonara lovers will fall under the spell of the soup. The noodles made by Kobayashi Noodle-Making Factory (小林製麺) went well with the soup, and those were tasty! In addition, 2 types of roasted pork fillets on the noodles, too. Different texture was good. Thanks for the tasty ramen!

By the way, Club Tourism (クラブツーリズム), a Japanese tour travel agency, provides various types of tours such as day trip tours or ordinary tours. In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol. Choosen tourist attractions are national parks such as Rishiri and Rebun, Shiretoko, and popular tourist places such as Furano and Biei, and some activities such as hiking and fruit picking are also enjoyed depending on seasons. If you are interested in tour trips, you should visit the club tourism's website for details.
