Ramen with Seafood Thick Starchy Sauce Is Mild and Tasty -Kouraiken in Chitose-
September 23rd, 2015
Kouraiken (香来軒) is a long-established ramen restraunt in Chitose city and was founded in 1953. Salt chow mein (炒麺) is famous. I heard that ramen with seafood thick starchy sauce (広東麺) of this ramen restraunt was tasty, too, and I visited here around 14:00 on weekdays. There was 1 visitor at the restraunt. Afterwards, another 1 visitor came to the restraunt. They would be regular customers when I heard their conversation. This ramen restraunt was loved by local people. Because there was not a parking lot, they stopped their cars in front of the ramen restraunt.
The ramen restraunt has an atmosphere such as a good old ramen restraunt and is not so large. There are all tables and family customers seem to enjoy. I sat the table and ordered the ramen with seafood thick starchy sauce. The price was JPY 890. By the way, it was written as noodles with hop suey on a menu.
I hear a sound to toss ingredients in the wok from a kitchen. Approximately 10 minutes later, the ramen with seafood thick starchy sauce was served. Noodles was topped with the thick starchy sauce. Soup and the thick starchy sauce separated completely. The thick starchy sauce had vegetables and the seafood. In addition, not a china spoon, a large spoon was used. Intriguing! The soup was light taste and had Umami. The noodles were homemade noodles and went well with the soup. The old taste of long-established ramen restaurant was mild and tasty.
