[Himawari Head Office in Asahikawa] Tasty Hormone Ramen Mixed Ramen with Broiled Pig Innards

Ramen Senmon Himawari (ラーメン専門 ひまわり) is a popular ramen restaurant founded in 1987 in Asahikawa city. Mrs. Hitomi Asaka (浅香 仁美) is a restaurant owner at present. The head office is in Parupu-cho, and is relatively near Shin-asahikawa Station (新旭川駅). Higashi-takasu Branch used to open a business, but only the head office opens a business now. The Himawari is well-known for serving Hormone Ramen (モルメン) mixed ramen with broiled pig innards, and is also famous for beautiful restaurant owner and waitresses.
The ramen restaurant on the 1st floor of an apartment is not so large, and has an atmosphere such as a typical local restaurant. I visited here around 13:30 on Sunday. counter seats and table seats are provided, so I guess that even family customers enjoy meals. Fortunately, I sat a seat by sharing the table, but about 5 groups of visitors after me waited in their cars. The Himawari is popular after all.

Asahikawa (旭川) that about 340,000 people live is the 2nd largest commercial city in Hokkaido, and has flourished as the center of the North Hokkaido area. Woodworks have been prosperous since the old days, and furniture is famous. Because water is clear, a liquor such as sake of Otokoyama (男山) and Godo Shusei (合同酒精) are famous, too. Popular tourist attractions such as Asahiyama Zoo (旭山動物園) and Biei (美瑛) are around the Asahikawa, so a lot of tourists use tourist bases in the North Hokkaido. As for a climate, the Asahikawa is located in Kamikawa Basin, the largest basin in the Hokkaido, so it is hot that temperature rises to 30 degrees C in a summer, and it is cold that temperature falls to -25 degrees C in a winter, and it snow very hard, too. Ramen of Hokkaido
Ramen is a noodle soup dish topped with ingredients. It is said that Chinese noodles is the root of the ramen, and there are various theories, for example, Mr. Mistukuni Tokugawa (徳川光圀 * Mitokomon (水戸黄門)) ate the ramen in 1697 for the first time in Japan or the first ramen was that Keitaimen noodles (経帯麺) served in 1488 was written in Biryueken Diary (蔭涼軒日録). Noodle soup dishes were spread out in Japan because Nanking noodles (南京そば) was served in various China Towns, Japan. In Hakodate with a China Town, Yowaken (養和軒) served the Nanking noodles in 1884. In Sapporo, it is a root of Sapporo Ramen that a noodle soup dish was cooked by Mr. Wang Wen Zai (王 文彩), a chief chef of Takeya Shokudo (竹家食堂), in 1922. Houran (芳蘭), a branch of the Takeya Shokudo, opened a business in 1933 in Asahikawa. Asahikawa Ramen, Sapporo Ramen and Hakodate Ramen called the 3 Major Ramen in Hokkaido were born. Broiled Pig Innard Miso Broth Ramen
I asked a waitress about Himawari's recommendation, she replied "Broiled Pig Innard Miso Broth Ramen (モルメンの味噌)". Broiled Pig Innard Spicy Miso Broth Ramen (モルメンの味噌辛いの) was famous, but I ordered the Broiled Pig Innards Miso Broth Ramen with normal spicy because I was not confidence to eat the spicy ramen on that day. The price was JPY 800. The Hormone Ramen is famous, but they also serve normal soy sauce ramen and salt broth ramen.
About 15 minutes later, the Broiled Pig Innard Miso Broth Ramen was served. Most of customers order the Hormone Ramen, so grilling pig innar takes time. That is very tough work. The broiled pig innards, carrots, bamboo shoots, Chinese chives and green onions were on noodles.
I had a sip of soup immediately. The soup was very mild for fat of the broiled pig innards with a grilled flavor. This was tasty sweet-salty taste with just right seasoning. The noodles were made by Kato Ramen, and went well with the soup. I did not know that about a conbination of the Broiled Pig Innard and the Ramen. I knew the taste, so I understanded a popular reason. Thanks for the tasty meal!
