Tasty Mongolian Barbecue Is Made by Homemade Sheep Meat and Sauce -Matsuo Jingisukan Takikawa Head Office-

Matsuo Jingisukan (松尾ジンギスカン) is a famous mongolian barbecue chain restraunt. There is the head office in Takikawa city. Jingisukan of Hokkaido has 2 jingisukan styles, Takikawa jingisukan style (滝川流) and Tsukisamu jingisukan style (月寒流), and Matsuo jingisukan is a representative of the Takikawa jingisukan style. The feature is that they produce sheep meats and sauce themselves and sell. I visited the Matsuo Jinguskan Takikawa Head Office to eat the mongolian barbecue. First I was surprised at large buildings, there are a main building and an annex building. There are a souvenir shop at the main building, too, and I went to the restraunt through the souvenir shop.
I visited here around 14:00 on Saturday. The restraunt were latge, and I sat a table at a nonsmoking section and read a menu. I ordered one helping of lamb Jingisukan, one helping of mutton Jingisukan, mushrooms and udon noodles. The price is JPY 2590. Vegetables were served with the sheep meats. Approximately 5 minutes later, the jingisukan meals were served. By the way, a pan for jingisukan seems to be fifth pan.
How to grill the Matuo jingisukan. 1. Customers put the vegetables around the bottom of the pan and pour jingisukan sauce into the pan. 2. the customers put the sheep meats on the top of the pan fully. 3. just wait for grilling. By the way, I mistook the way of grilling the Matsuo jingisukan although they kindly told me. In addtion, this jingisukan sauce is raw sauce. The customers can not drink the raw sauce and have to use it on the pan. This sauce are made from apples, onions, gingers and soy sauce with several kinds of confidential spices.
I mistook how to grill the cooking ingredients. But the sheep meats were tender and the jigisukan sauce soaked in vegetables, those were tasty! Their proverb says that the sheep meats are grilled on the top of the pan and meat juice come out and those juice and the jingisukan sauce soaked in the vegetables on the bottom of pan. Last udon noodles were put around the pan. Those juice and the jingisukan sauce soaked in the udon noodles and were very tasty!
