[Kiroro Snow World in Akaigawa] Ski and Snowboard as Well as Various Acitities Can Be Enjoyed throughout Year at Resort
Kiroro Resort (キロロリゾート) is a resort in Akaigawa town located in the southern direction of Otaru city, and is well-known as a ski resort focusing on Kiroro Snow World (キロロスノーワールド), and accommodations are built beside the Kiroro Snow World. Property Perfect PCL in Thailand recently made an equity participation in the Kiroro, and a lot of oversea skiers and snowboarders come. Niseko, a world-famous ski resort, is relatively near here, and the quality of snow is very good, so powder snow and backcountry skiing can be enjoyed. In addition, hotels provide onsen facilities, the onsen as well as winter activities can be enjoyed. In a summer, they serve a lot of activities, and it is said that the resort can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Various activities can be enjoyed throughout the year at the Kiroro Resort.
Winter Kiroro Snow World
Slopes of Mt. Asaridake (朝里岳) with about 1,280 m in height and Mt. Nagaminedake (長峰岳) with about 1,090 m in height are developed as the ski resort named “Kiroro Snow World”, and it is one of most popular ski resorts in Hokkaido, and has been established sinc 1991. Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort (札幌国際スキー場) is at the opposite side of the Mt. Asaridake. The Kiroro Snow World is well-known for heavy snow, and the backcountry skiing is possible via Kiroro Exits, and you will need to take full responsibility for your action. A business season is mostly from mid November to early May.
The tops of the Mt. Asaridake at about 1,180 m above sea level and the Mt. Nagaminedake have 22 ski courses, Asari Course 1-A (朝里第1-A), Asari Course 1-B (朝里第1-B), Asari Course 2-A (朝里第2-A), Asari Course 2-B (朝里第2-B), Asari Course 2-C (朝里第2-C), Asari Panorama (朝里パノラマ), Asari Dynamic (朝里ダイナミック), Expert A (エキスパートA), Expert B (エキスパートB), Yoichi Course 1-A (余市第1-A), Yoichi Course 1-B (余市第1-B), Yoichi Course 2-A (余市第2-A), Yoichi Course 2-B (余市第2-B), Family Course (ファミリーコース), Center Link (センターリンク), Center A (センターA), Center B (センターB), Center C (センターC), Nagamine Course 1 (長峰第1), Nagamine Course 2-A (長峰第2-A), Naganime Course 2-B (長峰第2-B), Nagamine Course 2-C (長峰第2-C). The number of beginner, intermediate and advanced ski courses is well-balanced, and the Asari Dynamic, the longest ski course, is about 4 km length. Powder Ride (パウダーライド) that the snow powder can be enjoyed is provided at the ski course. In addition, Terrain Park for the snowboarders is provided at the ski courses, too. 9 ski lifts, Kiroro Gondla (キロロゴンドラ), the longest ski lift of 3,300 m, Asari No.1 Lift (朝里第1リフト), Asari No.2 Express (朝里第2エクスプレス), Yoichi No.1 Express (余市第1エクスプレス), Yoichi No.2 Lift (余市第2リフト), Center Express (センターエクスプレス), Family Lift (ファミリーリフト), Nagamine No.1 Express (長峰第1エクスプレス) and Nagamine No.2 Express (長峰第2エクスプレス) are built.

Summer Kiroro Resort
In the summer, various activities such as Euro Bubble, Segway, Mountain Bike, Buggy and so on can be experienced at the Kiroro Resort. “Moving in the sky” can be enjoyed for about 15 minutes by the Kiroro Gondla in the fall foliage season. In addition, water activities can be enjoyed in the Niseko and Ochiai Dam (落合ダム), too.
