Ikoi-no-Ie Kayanuma (憩の家 かや沼) is a hot-spring hotel in Shibecha town located in the northern part of Kushiro city and was founded in 1978. It locate in Kushiro-Shitstugen Wetland National Park (釧路湿原国立公園) and is one of compound facilities called Kushiro-shitsugen Wetland Park (くしろ湿原パーク), there is a building on a hill facing Lake Shirarutoro (シラルトロ湖). There are a park golf course and a camping ground except a hot spring facility. Japanese cranes can be seen here if you are lucky. At a bathhouse, there are 2 indoor baths that are different in temperature, 1 indoor bath surrounded by rocks, 1 cascading bath and 1 outdoor bath. All baths have fresh free-flowing hot springs. As for the outdoor bath, unfortunately, bathers can not look over Lake Shirarutoro because of surrounding by trees. It did not feel a sense of openness. As for the indoor baths, those had very hot spring, I felt great onsen power.

The hot springs are sodium chloride spring, and are clear and light yellow and have salty taste and no smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 9.765 g. The hot springs seem to be drinkable, when I drank it, it tasted very salty. Because the salt was thick, the hot springs made my body warm. By the way, shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathhouse. A rest room and free hair dryers are installed at a dressing room. A staying is possible, too.
