Kamuiwaki Onsen Hoyojo

Kamuiwaki Onsen Hoyojo next to Kamuiwaki fishing port is a public bath for day trip onsen, and has opened a business since 1983, and is popular with local people. The appearance and the interior decoration have an atomosphere of Showa period, and it is very Shibui. According to Okushiri illustrated book, the mean value of visitors per day is about 10 visitors. Almost certainly bathers seem to enjoy relaxing. An entrance fee to a bath facility is JPY 420.

They have 4 public bathrooms for men or womwn on the 1st floor and the 2nd floor. The bathers must move from the bathroom to the bathroom in wearing their clothes. The bathroom on the 2nd floor is called "Tenboburo (展望風呂 * Lookout Bath)", and I think that they are proud of a good view. Early in the evening, the bathers seem to be able to see the beautiful sunset across the sea of Japan while bathing.

There is 1 indoor bath at the bathroom on the 2nd floor. The Kamuiwaki fishing port can be seen through a window. The sunny bathroom with large windows is feeling good.

Indoor Bath

The indoor bath is the size that about 6 people can take a bath, and uses natural free flowing hot springs with adding water. This hot spring is same type of the hot springs at the 1st floor, but this hot spring color is brown. I guess that the hot springs are oxidized. The free flowing hot springs always pour in a bathtub from dark brown rocks, and overflow from it in succession. Dark brown bath floor deposited by hot spring ingredients is cool. The bath has a faucet for cold water, so it is allowed to add the water for lowering the water temperature.

There is 1 indoor bath at the bathroom on the 1st floor. The sunny tiled bathroom with some windows is feeling good. The tiled indoor bath is the size that about 3 people can take a bath, and uses natural free flowing hot springs with adding water. The free flowing hot springs always pour in a bathtub from dark brown rocks, and overflow from it in succession. Those are hotter. The color of the hot springs is light green, and I think that those are close to original color of the hot springs. It is good for body because of freshness. Dark brown bath floor deposited by hot spring ingredients is cool, too. The bath has a faucet for cold water, so it is allowed to add the water for lowering the water temperature.
