[Hamanasu in Bekkai] Jumbo Scallop Hamburger Is Made by Myself

Restraunt Hamanasu (レストラン はまなす) is a popular restraunt in Betsukai town located in the northwestern part of Nemuro city, and is near Bekkai Bus Terminal (Pulato), and open a business only at lunchtime. Especially, the restraunt is famous for a large portsion of meals, a chicken cutlet combo is most popular. Big eaters often come. The Hamanasu also serves Jumbo Scallop Hamburger (ジャンボホタテバーガー), a local speciality of the Bekkai. The building has an atomosphere such as a western food restaurant, and is not so large. Counter seats and table seats are provided, so I guess that even family customers enjoy meals.
Jumbo Scallop Hamburger
Cattle breeding is flourished in the Bekkai facing the sea, and the Jumbo Scallop Hamburger is selected as a local specialty, and can be eaten at some restaurants, and the Hamanasu is one of those. I visited here around 10:00, just opening hour, on a weekday. I was the first customer on that day. I sat at a table seat, and ordered a set of Bekkai Jumbo Milk (別海ジャンボ牛乳) and Bekkai Jumbo Scallop Hamburger (別海ジャンボホタテバーガー) combo. The price was JPY 1000. Customers can choose 500 ml milk or 300 ml milk.
The Bekkai Jumbo Scallop Hamburger won the championship of Japan Local Burgers Grand Prix 2011 and 2012, and won the championship of Local Gourmet Grand Prix Hokkaido 2011-2013, so it is very popular. They have some rules and regulations to name a dish as the Bekkai Jumbo Scallop Hamburger. Those are as follows. But thanks to that, restaurants compete with each other, and different Bekkai Jumbo Scallop Hamburgers are born. You might as well eat those at different restaurants.
1. Milk iof Bekkai Milk corp shall be used.
2. Thick jumbo scallops caught in the Gulf of Notsuke shall be used.
3. Mozzarella cheese produced in Morinaga Milk Bekkai Factory shall be used.
4. Buns made from wheat flour produced in Hokkaido shall be used.
5. Original sauce shall be used.
6. A hamburger shall not be put togther.
7. Fried potato produced in the Hokkaido shall be served, too.
8. An original side dish shall be served, too.
About 15 minutes later, the Bekkai Jumbo Milk and Bekkai Jumbo Scallop Hamburger combo was served. Except the hamburger, a dish of cream sauce pasta with clam produced in the Gulf of the Notsuke and the a dish of fried potato were also served. The milk of medium beer mug caught my eyes. There were many dishes! By the way, customers have to put a hamburger together themselves. First I spread miso sauce on hamburger buns, and put a scallop pie and marinated vegetables on the hamburger bun, and seasoned it with 2 types of sauce.
I ate it immediately, its juice overflowed from the crispy scallop pie. The scallop was large, too. It was very tasty! Fresh vegetables also had good texture. The cream sauce pasta with clam produced in the Gulf of the Notsuke was milky, and was tasty, too! I especially favorite the milk. That sure went down smoothly. I enjoyed the milk.
