Hinode Park (日の出公園) is a park in Kamifurano town located in the southeastern part of Asahikawa city, and has opened since 1977. Lavenders are planted on a hillside of Mt. Hinode with an altitude of about 230 m. The are of the lavender fields is 4.2 ha. The flowering season is from late June to early August, and it is said that July is the best season that the lavender is in full bloom in particular. This park was choosen as a shooting place for Japanese Movie "LOVE LETTERS at SIXTY". There are an observation deck, Hinode park Auto Campsite, Kamifurano Ski Resort, public restrooms and parking lots on the site. The parking lot and the restroom are provided near the observatory deck, too, but a traffic regulation is enforced at the high season of the lavender. Kitano Daimonji Fire Festival (北の大文字) is held from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day, too. Admission free. The parking lots are free of charge.
The distance is around 1 km away from the center of the Kamifurano, and restraunts, cafes, and convenience stores are built there. Goto Sumio Art Museum (後藤純男美術館) is relatively near here. By the way, speaking of the tasty restraunts in the Kamifurano, Mansaku (まん作) and Barbecue Restaurant "Hide" (焼肉秀) are popular in particular. I ate buckwheat noodles at the Mansaku, and those were tasty.
Mansaku (まん作) is a famous buckwheat noodles restraunt in Kamifurano town located in the south part of Asahikawa city. There is a building near the Miharashidai park (見晴台公園). It was founded in 2004. Furano and Biei

2 types of the lavenders, Koimurasaki (こいむらさき) and Okamurasaki (おかむらさき), are planted at the Hinode Park Lavender Garden, and visitors can savor the lavenders along a walk. Except the lavenders, Marigold, Poppy and Salvia Sage are planted along the walk from the parking lot to the observation deck, too. The time it takes to look around purple carpets on the hillsides is around 30 minutes. You may be tired because of a difference of elevation, so you should wear comfortable shoes.
The bell of love (愛の鐘) is built on the hillside, and a couple ring a bell to wish their happiness. A wedding ceremony is held, too, and a snow-white wedding dress with purple lavenders as a backdrop is very impressive scenery. I think it makes a lifelong memory. A couple was taken a photo for wedding photography when I visited here. This park become "Sanctuary of lovers" in a summer.
The observatory deck is built on the hilltop, and the visitors can look over 360 degree view containing Tokachidake Mountain Range (十勝岳連峰). The view is very good. An evening scene is very good, too, and it is the only lavender garden that the lavender with the setting sun can be enjoyed in this region. A night view and starry sky seem to be beautiful. In addition, Kamifurano Flower and Fireworks Shikisai Festival (かみふらの花と炎の四季彩まつり) is held on Sunday, mid July.

In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol. Choosen tourist attractions are national parks such as Rishiri and Rebun, Shiretoko, and popular tourist places such as Furano and Biei, and some activities such as hiking and fruit picking are also enjoyed depending on seasons.
