[Hinode-misaki Observation Deck La Luna in Oumu] Cool Obervation Deck Fitted with Glass Protects against Cold
Cape Hinode (日の出岬) is a cape in Oumu town located in the northeastern direction of Asahikawa city, and has Hinode-misaki Observation Deck La Luna (日の出岬展望台ラ・ルーナ), Hinode-misaki Campsite (日の出岬キャンプ場) and Hotel Hinode-misaki (ホテル日の出岬). As its name suggests, the cape is well-known as a good place to see the beautiful morning sun, and the beautiful sunset also has a good reputation. In a winter, drift ice flows around the cape, and here is one of good places to enjoy seeing the drift ice, too. The tip of the cape is a rocky shore, so playing at rocky shores may be enjoyed. Okhotsk Omui Onsen (オホーツクオムイ温泉) is a hot spring place in Oumu town located in the northeastern direction of Asahikawa city. Only Hotel Hinodemisaki (ホテル日の出岬) has opened a business on a small hill at 23 m above sea level in Hinode Peninsula (日の出岬). There are Hinode-misaki Observation Deck La Luna (展望台ラ・ルーナ) and Hinodemisaki Campsite (日の出岬キャンプ場) near the Hotel Hinodemisaki. Hinode-misaki Observation Deck La Luna
The Hinode-misaki Observation Deck La Luna of 9 m height is built at about 10 m elevation, and is fitted with glass. The stylish appearance is outstanding. It was built for visitors to enjoy the drift ice without shivering with cold in a winter in 1992. La Luna means "The moon" in Italian, and as the name suggests, the moon seems to be enjoyed in the evening. The building has the 1st floor and the 2nd floor, and a binocular telescope is set on the 2nd floor. A restroom is provided, too.
