As for the Genseitei Onsen, simple alkaline spring with moor hot spring are gushed out. The moor spring is brown spring that gushes out from a peat bed or a lignitic bed, and contains a lot of organics of plant origin, so it has slippery touch, and is good for a skin, and is called beauty hot spring (美人の湯), too. The moor spring is different from usual types of the hot springs, and the hot springs are recognized as the moor spring if those contain humus. The humus value of the Genseitei Onsen is 10.8 mg/kg.
List of Day Trip Onsen
Visitors can take a day trip bath at the Genseitei.
The Genseitei is a 2-story inn on the lakeside of the Lake Tofutsu, and is known as a bathing facility to enjoy high quality moor hot springs, and is popular with onsen evangelists and local old people. The appearance and the interior decoration are very shubui, and make visitors feel a good old atmosphere such as Showa period. An entrance fee to a bath facility is JPY 400.
There is 1 indoor bath at a small public bathroom. The bath is surrounded by white walls, and a window is on the wall. A wash place is not large, so I gusee that a large number of bathers can hardly enter the bathroom. The indoor bath is the size that about 3 people can take a bath, and uses 100% natural free flowing hot springs. Water temperature is 43-44C. White bubles separated from the hot spring ingredients are floated on the surface of the bath, so I think fresh hot springs. The hot springs gush out from a pipe in the bath, so I think that bathers can not taste the hot springs.
The hot springs are sulfur and carbonated sodium chloride hot spring with moor hot springs, and are clear and brown and tasteless and moor smell, and have very smooth and slippery touch. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 1.681 g/kg. The meta-silicic acid content is 210.9 mg/kg. It is said that the hot springs including the meta-silicic acid with over 200 mg/kg is effective for beautiful skin. Soaps are provided at the bathroom. Because there is not a restroom at a dressing room, you should get a wash beforehand at the restroom along a corridor.
