Fried Squid Leg Rice Bowl Is Born by Relationship of Various People -Hanachan in Asahikawa-
July 18th, 2014
Hanachan (花ちゃん) is a noodle stand (立ち食いそば屋) in Kagura, Asahikawa city. There is a shop at Kagura Shopping Center (神楽中央ショッピングセンター). This noodle stand become popular among riders, I heard that Fried Squid Leg Rice Bowl (ゲソ丼 * Gesodon) could be eaten, and I visited here. The Fried Squid Leg Rice Bowl is a bowl with rice (どんぶり * Donburi) topped with the fried squid legs and green onions, and they serve 2 types of seasonings (soy sauce or salt sauce). Many restraunts seem to serve the fried squid leg rice bowl in Asahikawa city, but each fried squid leg rice bowl seems to be different dishes.
I visited here around 16:00 on weekdays. The shop had an atomosphere such as a typical good old noodle stand. There were all counter seats, so family customers do not seem to enjoy in a busy time. I ordered the fried squid leg rice bowl with salt sauce taste. The price is JPY 400. It was a little oily, but it had a light taste of the salt sauce and I enjoyed it.
I asked a proprietress, and she replied that a commercial trucker of a regular customer felt jealous of a master's staff meal "fried squid legs" in about 1998. Furthermore, it was born because it was advised by him when he wanted to eat it with rice together. The salt sauce taste seemed to born because a woman rider from Nagoya was not able to eat soy sauce taste in about 2008. It is a dish created through a relationship of various people.
