Beautiful Flowers Such as Tulips and Wisterias -Yurigahara Park in Sapporo-

Yurigahara Park (百合が原公園) is located in Kita ward, Sapporo city and was founded in 1983. More than 3500 perennial plants and trees such as Lily, Rose, Lilac, Dahlia etc are planted, and visitors can enjoy beautiful flowers. The park covers an area of 25.4 ha, and there are many facilities. The Yurigahara Park has paid facilities and free facilities, and everybody can enjoy. The paid facilities are Conservatory, World Gardens and Lily Train (リリートレイン), and except those, there are the free facilities such World Lily Gardens, Playground Space and Park Golf Cource. Admission free and a parking lot is free of charge.
Tulips and Muscari are in full bloom from mid May to late may. Colorful flowers along Muscari Path (ムスカリの道) are beautiful. There is Silo Observatory near the Muscari Path, and the path is covered with wood chips, those go went with colorful flowers. Many visitors come on Saturday and Sunday.
Wisteria is in full bloom from mid May to late May. Some wisteria trees spread over and are in full bloom on about 10 m square of iron poles. The wisteria blossoms are purple and white, a combination of those is good. Azalea is in full blossom here and there at this time. In addition, Pauls Scarlet Hawthorn is in full bloom, too.
