Eastern Hokkaido Area is the eastern district of Hokkaido and is widely dotted with center cities such as Kushiro city, Obihiro city, kitami city, Abashiri city, Nemuro city. It is called "Doto" by Hokkaido people. In a winter, the Pacific coastal areas such as Kushiro city have little snow, but inland areas such as Obihiro city have much snow. Rikubetsu town located in the north part of the Obihiro city is super famous for cold, and the temperature often fell as low as -30 degrees. That area has harsh natural environments. Thus, the characteristic Nature still abound in this district.
