Buckweat Noodle with Duck and Green Onions -Mansaku in Kamifurano-
April 17th, 2015
Mansaku (まん作) is a famous buckwheat noodles restraunt in Kamifurano town located in the south part of Asahikawa city. There is a building near the Miharashidai park (見晴台公園). It was founded in 2004. They garnered one star in MICHELIN GUIDE Hokkaido 2012 Special Edition and became more popular.
I visited here around 11:00 on weekdays. Both the appearance and the interior decoration were very fashionable restraunt. I took off my shoes at an entrance and entered it. The restraunt had a warmth of woods, and there are all tables, so family customers seem to enjoy. I sat at the table and read a menu. Because I was curious about buckwheat noodles with sliced ducks and green onions (鴨南蛮せいろ), I ordered it. The price was JPY 1200.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the buckwheat noodles with the sliced ducks and the green onions were served. A white bowl of soup was outstanding at the wooden interior decoration very much. I ate the buckwheat noodles at once. The buckwheat noodles that made of buckwheat flour produced in Hokkaido seemed to be made by hands and were chewy. Fat of duck came oozing through just seasoned soup with not too salty, and it was tasty when I dipped a little buckwheat noodles to the soup and eat it. Because it was appetizing dish, a large serving of buckwheat noodles might be eaten. Finally a cup of buchwhheat tea (そば茶) was served, too, and I thoroughly enjoyed the buckwheat.
