Buckwheat Noodles with Fried Octopus and Burdock Has Tasty Uneven Noodles and Soup Stock -Izumi Shokudo in Hidaka Monbetsu-
July 31st, 2014
Izumi Shokudo (いずみ食堂) is a famous buckwheat noodles restaurant in Monbetsu, Hidaka town and was founded in 1960. I visited here around 13:00 on weekdays, but there were still a lot of customers at the restraunt. Because there were not a few seats at all, this restaurant will be considerably popular. The restraunt had an atomosphere such as a typical good old Japanese local restraunt. There were many tables and family customers seem to enjoy.
I sat at the table and read a menu. All the menu looked tasty, I ordered buckwheat noodles with fried octopus and burdock (たこかき揚げ天そば). Approximately 15 minutes later, the buckwheat noodles with fried octopus and burdock was served.
The uneven noodles were characteristic and probably it will be homemade buckwheat noodles, and it resembled sword cut noodles. The noodles was chewy and very good texture. The soup stock was tasty, too. It was just right seasoning for me. Tempura was the fried burdock and was good texture. The fried octopus was good texture, too. This will be popular.
