[Genkiya in Setana] Genki Soba Uses A Lot of Ingredients Produced in Setana

Sobadokoro Genkiya (そば処元気屋) is a buckwheat noodles restaurant surrounded by fields in Kitahiyama, Setana town located in the southwestern part of Hakodate city. Shintaku Kogyo corp runs it, and has opened the restaurant since 1990's. Mr. Tsutomu Nagata (長田 勉) is a company president. Thier building is a prefab house, but it has an atmosphere that seems to come across tasty dishes. Customers take off shoes at an entrance, and enter the restraunt. The restraunt is not so large, and counter seats and table seats are provided, so I guess that even family customers enjoy meals.
Buckwheat Noodles of Hokkaido
Hokkaido occupies about 40% of buckwheat production of Japan, and is the largest buckwheat production in the Japan, and Nagano prefecture, Ibaraki prefecture, Fukushima prefecture and so on follow the Hokkaido. The climate is cool in a summer, and a large temperature gap is great for good buckwheat, and the buckwheat production of the Hokkaido is increasing. Horokanai (幌加内), Fukagawa (深川) and Otoineppu (音威子府) are the 3 largest production places. Especially, the Horokanai is the best buckwheat production and the largest planted area in the Japan, and is well-known as a buckwheat town, and uses buckwheat fields as tourist attractions well. In Fukushima town, Sengen Soba Buckwheat Flowers Viewing Party (千軒そばの花鑑賞会) is held in buckwheat fields, and a fantastic conbination of the buckwheat fields and Matsumae Kagura (松前神楽) can be enjoyed. I visited here around 14:00 on a weekday. Although it was late lunchtime, 2 groups of customers enjoyed their meals. I sat a table seat, and read a menu. Genki Soba (元気そば) looked tasty. The Genki means "I am good" in English. The Genki Soba is cold soba noodles made from only buckwheat flour (冷たい十割そば), and the noodles was topped with grated yam produced in the Setana, radish sprouts, a quail egg and ume plum seasoning odorless garlics, and wasabi dipping sauce was under the buckwheat noodles. The price was JPY 700.
My prediction came true when I had a mouthful, it was very tasty. It is an irresistible grated yam buckwheat noodles for the grated yam buckwheat noodles enthusiast. This buckwheat noodles restaurant is great, they are responsible for growing, processing (producing buckwheat flour and fresh soba from the local buckwheat) and sales of buckwheat themselves. This is genuine homemade noodles.
The boiled and seasoned black soybean was served before the meal, and a chiffon made from buckwheat flour and a jelly made from brewing black soybean boiled were served after the meal. The dish is really value to eat because the dish is made from vegetables produced in about this district.
