[Date Okina in Date] Hot Buckwheat Noodles with Chicken and Burdock with Tasty Chicken Broth Soup

Dateokina (伊達翁) is a famous buckwheat noodle restraunt in Rogetsu-cho, Date city, and is one of buckwheat noodle restraunts that Mr. Kunihiro Takahashi (高橋 邦弘), a very famous soba chef, runs Okina-Daruma group (翁達磨グループ), and Mr. Hirofumi Takenaka (竹中広文) became independent in 2000. They garnered one star in MICHELIN GUIDE Hokkaido 2012 Special Edition and Hokkaido 2017 Special Edition. The restraunt is adjacent to Seicomart (セイコーマート), a convenience store, along National Route 37, and a signboard of the Seicomart is a mark.
Because I heard that the Dateokina is crowded very much at lunchtime, I visited here around 14:00 on a weekday. 2 groups of preceding visitors savored their meals at the reastraunt. That was what I thought. The restaurant was shiny, and all the interior decoration was made of woods. Seats with a space spacious had a nice atmosphere. All seats are tables, so I guess that even family customers enjoy meals.
Buckwheat Noodles of Hokkaido
Hokkaido occupies about 40% of buckwheat production of Japan, and is the largest buckwheat production in the Japan, and Nagano prefecture, Ibaraki prefecture, Fukushima prefecture and so on follow the Hokkaido. The climate is cool in a summer, and a large temperature gap is great for good buckwheat, and the buckwheat production of the Hokkaido is increasing. Horokanai (幌加内), Fukagawa (深川) and Otoineppu (音威子府) are the 3 largest production places. Especially, the Horokanai is the best buckwheat production and the largest planted area in the Japan, and is well-known as a buckwheat town, and uses buckwheat fields as tourist attractions well. In Fukushima town, Sengen Soba Buckwheat Flowers Viewing Party (千軒そばの花鑑賞会) is held in buckwheat fields, and a fantastic conbination of the buckwheat fields and Matsumae Kagura (松前神楽) can be enjoyed. The hot buckwheat noodles with chicken and burdock (鳥ごぼうそば) looked tasty when I read a menu. The price was JPY 1300. I ordered it. A waitress served a cup of soba tea (ぞば茶), and the smell made me hungry.
Around 10 minutes later, the hot buckwheat noodles with chicken and burdock was served. Ingredients were thin slices of the burdock, thick slices of the chicken and spinach. A texture of the burdock and chicken fat were good, and those were tasty! As for the buckwheat noodles, Mr. Takenaka made buckwheat noodles himself, and unexpectedly buckwheat noodles were thin. But smooth buckwheat noodles were chewy texture and were tasty, too. In addition, soba soup was salty soup like Torigara Baitan soup and was very good!
