Hokkaido Road 1 is built along the lake, and the watere surface area is 0.43 km2. The Asari Dam is a concrete gravity dam for the purposes of the prevention of disaster and securing drinking water in the upper of Asarigawa Onsen (朝里川温泉), and its height is about 74 m. The appearance looks very nice, and I think that it is a classic dam. Walks, Asari Dam Memorial Hall (朝里ダム記念館) and a tennis court are built as recreation and relaxation for Otaru citizen around the dam.
