List of Day Trip Onsen
Visitors can take a day trip bath at the Caldera Onsen Akaigawa Recreation Center.
Caldera Onsen Akaigawa Recreation Center
Caldera Onsen Akaigawa Recreation Center is a hot spring facility for day trip onsen, and has opened a business since 1983. Bathrrooms are renewed in 2014. When I visited here in the daytime on weekday, it was crowded with local people, so I saw that it was very popular. An entrance fee to the bath facility is JPY 400. A restraunt is at the building, too, and visitors for day trip bath can buy a soft serve ice cream made from the Yamanaka Ranch that is a synonym for the Akaigawa.

There are 1 outdoor bath, 2 indoor baths, 1 cold bath and 1 sauna at a public bathhouse. The bathhouse has 2 public bathrooms and the outdoor bath at the ouside, and the bathrroms are individed into a combination of a large bathroom and Western-style bathroom or Japanese-style bathroom. The bathhouses for men or women are replaced every week. I took a bath at the bathhouse with the Western-style bathroom. Another bathroom with a high ceiling and large windows is not so large, but it is sunny. Large rocks are outstanding. The tiled indoor bath is the size that about 8 poeple can take a bath, and natural free flowing hot springs with adding water, and a lot of the hot springs overflow from the bath.

The Western-style tiled bathroom is small but cozy, and L-shaped tiled indoor bath is set along walls, and is the size that about 6 people can take a bath, and uses natural free flowing hot springs with adding water. Walls of the Japanese-style bathroom is wooden board.

The outdoor bath surrounded by rocks is the size that about 4 people can take a bath, and uses natural free flowing hot springs with adding water. Because it with a roof is surrounded by trees, unfortunately a view is not good. But bathers can take a bath while facing chilly air.

The hot springs are sodium and calcium chloride sulfate spring, and are clear and colorless and have neither taste nor smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 1.450 g/kg. Soaps are provided at the bathrooms, but a shampoo is not provided. A restroom is installed at a dressing room.

In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol.
