[Aizankei Onsen in Kamikawa] Day Trip Bath Can Be Enjoyed at Aizankei Club for Trekking Base
CONTENTS
Aizankei Onsen
Aizankei Onsen (愛山渓温泉) is a hot spring place at around 1010 m above sea level in Kamikawa town located in the eastern direction of Asahikawa city, and has an atmosphere such as a secret onsen in the heart of a mountain. Aizankei Club (愛山渓倶楽部) surrounded by forests has opened a business in the mountain of Front Daisetsu Area, Daisetuzan National Park. Another building is only Aizankei Hut (愛山渓ヒュッテ) for hiker's accommodation, and restraunts, cafes, souvenir shops and convenience stores are not built. Here is a trekking base of Mt. Nagayamadake (永山岳), Mt. Aibetsudake (愛別岳), Mt. Pippudake (比布岳) and Mt. Tobetsudake (当麻岳), and is trailheads of hiking courses for Numanotaira Marshland (沼の平湿原) and Kumoigahara Marshland (雲井ケ原湿原) that are famous for fall foliage. Aibetsu Drivinn (愛別ドライブイン) is a mark along National Route 38, and visitors turn and go straight for around 20 km, and the end of the road is the Aizankei Onsen. It takes about 40 minutes by car. Drive carefully because the road with around 10 km in lengh is narrow halfway through. In addition, careful of bears and deers across the road. It is out of signal area.

It is the origin of the Aizankei Onsen that Mr. Tojiro Naoi (直井藤次郎) and his group discovered hot springs in 1909. After that, he built an onsen hut in 1926, and here used to be called Naoi Onsen (直井温泉). The road was not built then still. Its name changed to the Aizankei Club in 1950, and the Naoi Onsen changed to the Aizankei Onsen, too. At that time, a dog named "Chibi * it means small something in English" was active, and a monument of the Chibi (山仲間の愛犬チビの碑) has been built, too. The Chibi was super dog, and saved hikers attacked by a bear, and ran to a village to ask for help because another hikers got involved in an avalanche. He worked very hard to save the hikers, but he disappeared secretly at last. I think that this story must be made into a good novel, a good movie or a good TV drama, and must cry.

A public bathroom with a high ceiling is not large at the 1st basement floor, and is made of stones. There is 1 indoor bath at the bathroom. The bath is the size that about 4 people take a bath, and uses 100% natural free flowing hot springs. The fresh hot springs are poured into the bath, and the hot springs overflow from the bath freely. I felt comforatble when I saw the situation. In addition, the floor of the bathroom turns into dark brown color whether the hot spring ingredients have been precipitated.

By the way, Club Tourism (クラブツーリズム), a Japanese tour travel agency, provides various types of tours such as day trip tours or ordinary tours. In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol. Choosen tourist attractions are national parks such as Rishiri and Rebun, Shiretoko, and popular tourist places such as Furano and Biei, and some activities such as hiking and fruit picking are also enjoyed depending on seasons. If you are interested in tour trips, you should visit the club tourism's website for details.
