The distance is around 15 km away from Kawayu Onsen, and a restraunt, a cafe and a convenience store are not built around here. But the Kawayu Onsen has the restraunt, the cafe and the convenience store. Speaking of tasty restraunts in the Teshikaga, Teshikaga Ramen Head Office (弟子屈ラーメン 弟子屈総本店), Miraku Sushi (味楽寿司), Soba Doraku (そば道楽), Inakaya Genpei (いなか家 源平) and Cream Dowa (くりーむ童話) are popular in particular. I ate foods at the Teshikaga Ramen Head Office and Seiryu, and those were tasty.

Look of Observation Deck
A walk with about 120 m in length and observation decks at both ends of the walk are built on the steep cliff with about 300 m in height. Here is the closest observation deck in the 3 viewing points around the Lake Mashu, and the Kamuisshu Island floating on the lake using the Mt. Mashudake as the background can be enjoyed. Nothing obstructs people's views, so a sense of openness can be felt, too. The walk is like a slim corridor, and it is not a bad idea that the Lake Mashu can be seen from various angles. I think that here is worth visiting most in the 3 viwing points around the Lake Mashu. Small winged insects fly in a summer, so you had better bring an insect repellent. By the way, here is located in the highest place in in the 3 viwing points around the Lake Mashu, so it is well-known for seeing a sea of clouds from June to October in the early morning if you are lucky. Great sea of clouds called "Fog Falls (滝霧)" have a good reputation.

By the way, Club Tourism (クラブツーリズム), a Japanese tour travel agency, provides various types of tours such as day trip tours or ordinary tours. In the case of bus tours, tourists do not drive their cars themselves, so they can savor alcohol. Choosen tourist attractions are national parks such as Rishiri and Rebun, Shiretoko, and popular tourist places such as Furano and Biei, and some activities such as hiking and fruit picking are also enjoyed depending on seasons. If you are interested in tour trips, you should visit the club tourism's website for details.
