Yushun Sakura Road
Yushun Sakura Road (優駿さくらロード) is a good place to see cherry blossoms in Urakawa located in the northwestern direction of Cape Erimo (えりも岬), and is a little away from the downtown of the Urakawa. It is also called "Nishicha Sakuranamiki (西舎桜並木)", and about 1,000 cherry trees such as Yezo Mounatin Cherry Tree (エゾヤマザクラ) are planted along both sides of a town road with about 3 km in length from an entrance of Yushun-no-Sato Park (優駿の里公園) to Hidaka Training Ranch (日高育成牧場). Because the width of the road is narrower than Shizunai Nijukkendouro Sakuranamiki (静内二十間道路桜並木), one of most famous cherry blossom spots in Hokkaido, in Shinhidaka, the Yushun Sakura Road cross each branches looks like a tunnel of the cherry blossoms well. It got first place in "Hokkaido Walker Plus Best Cherry Blossom Spots That Readers Want to Go 2019". The best time to see the cherry blossoms is about from early May to mid May. About 10,000 tourists come. In the evening, a part of the Yushun Sakura Road is lit up. Admission free. Parking lots are free of charge.

Speaking of highly reputed restaurants in the Urakawa, Ajidokoro Sannosuke (味処 三之助) and Ramen Yakumo (ラーメン 八雲) are given bib gourmand by the Michelin Hokkaido.
