Precious Marsh That Ordinary People Can Catch Corbicula -Yudo Marsh in Toyokoro-

July 22nd, 2017

Yudo Marsh (湧洞沼) is a brackish water lake facing Pacific Ocean in Toyokoro located in the southeastern part of Obihiro. The perimeter of the marsh is about 19 km. This marsh is the largest marsh in Tokachi Beach Wetlands Group (十勝海岸湖沼群). A long sandbar spreads over between the marsh and the sea, and an abiogenesis flower garden spreads over on both sides of a road, too. This marsh is the very precious marsh, and ordinary people can catch a corbicula. Only people concerned with fishery can catch the corbicula now in most wetlands. When I visited here, many people caught the corbicula. Admission free. A parking lot is free of charge. The road to Yudo Marsh is closed in a winter.
