Salt Ramen with Scallop Has Too Tasty Scallop Broth -Mamiyado in Wakkanai-
August 8th, 2016
Mamiyado (間宮堂) is a popular ramen restraunt in Soyamisaki park, wakkanai city and is known for a catch phrase "The more ramen is served at the north, the better ramen is tasty (北へ行くほどラーメンがうまくなる)". A building is located on a hill, so view from the ramen restraunt is good. Dishes using seafood such as a sea urchin rice bowl as well as the ramen are served. By the way, they open a bussiness from mid April to mid November and close in a winter.
There was a customer when I visited here around 10:30 on weekdays. The interior decoration was like a lodge with a warmth of woods, and walls were covered by cards for autographs closely. There are counter seats, tables and raised tables, so family customers seem to enjoy. I sat at the table and ordered most popular salt ramen with a scallop (塩ホタテラーメン). The price was JPY 800. As soon as I took a seat, 3 groups of customers came into the ramen restraunt, no doubt this is popular.
About 10 minutes later, the salt ramen with the scallop was served. Soup fully covered a ramen bowl. I ate a sip of the soup at once, so the soup with scallop broth was light taste, but it was very tasty. I could not help making a sound. Noodles produced by Hokkaiya Making-Noodles Factory were whitish, and firmness of noodles were just right. Topping ingredients were the scallop caught in Wakkanai, bamboo shoots, a kamaboko with spiral whirlpool-like pattern, a wheat gluten and green oinons. The scallop broth and scenery were really good so I was satisfied.
