August 13th, 2014

Shiobetsu Tsurutsuru Onsen Ryokan

Shiobetsu Onsen Ryokan (旅館塩別つるつる温泉) is a hot-spring hotel in Rubeshibe-cho, Kitami city located in the northwest part of Kitami city. Hot springs were discovered in 1950. There is Taki-no-Yu Onsen (滝の湯温泉), a park golf course and the Kitami Fuji Cart Circuit (北見富士カートサーキット) near a building. The building was renewed in 2014.

There are 2 bathhouses. One is Fudo-no-Yu and the other is Ryujin-no-Yu. Because each bathhouses are far, bathers must move from bathhouse to bathhouse in their clothes. The hot springs are simple sulfur spring, and are clear and colorless and have tasteless and a sulfur smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 0.218 g. This onsen is famous as high alkaline hot spring with ph 9.6. You will be surprised if you take a bath. The hot springs have a very smooth and slippery touch. It seems to have an effect for beautiful skin, too. The hot springs are drinkable. The hot springs have an effect for Diabetes, Gout and Constipation.

1 open-air bath is the size that about 10 people take a bath, 1 indoor bath is the size that about 15 people take a bath, 1 cascading bath and 2 whirlpool baths at the Fudo-no-Yu. The open-air bath is surrounded by forest, and I enjoyed a sense of openness very much. A restroom, free hair dryers and a drinking hot spring facility are installed at a dressing room. It smelled sulfur a little when I drank the hot springs.

On the other hand, a small indoor bath is the size that about 5 people take a bath at Ryujin-no-Yu. This hot springs have stronger smooth and slippery touch than Fudoh-no-Yu. Because there are few bathers, you may enjoy the hot springs comfortably. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the both bathhouses. A staying is possible, too.
