Visitors can take a day trip bath at the Toya Ikoi-no-Ie.
Toya Ikoi-no-Ie is a hot spring facility for day trip onsen founded in 1983 on a hill, and is popular for a good view from a public bathhouse. The view from a resting room is very good, too. An entrance fee to the bath facility is JPY 440. Customers are mainly local people and campers, and this facility is particularly crowded with the campers in a summer.
There are 2 indoor baths at the public bathhouse. The sunny tiled bathhouse with large windows is feeling good. The indoor baths beside the windows have a good view of the Lake Toya through the windows. Bathers can enjoy it while bathing.
The large indoor bath is the size that about 10 people can take a bath, and the small indoor bath is the size that about 4 poeple can take a bath, and both baths use natural free flowing hot springs. The hot springs flow from the large indoor bath to the small indoor bath, and the small indoor bath is slightly colder than the large indoor bath. In addition, the small indoor bath has a faucet for cold water, so it is allowed to add the water for lowering the water temperature. The bathers can enjoy overflowing hot springs gentlysoftly, too.
The hot springs are sodium and calcium sulfate chloride spring, and are clear and light green and have a little salty taste and no smell, and are not drinkable. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 1.429 g/kg. Because shampoos and body soaps are not provided at the bathhouse, the bathers should bring those. A restroom and a free hair dryer are installed at a dressing room.
