Shinnoboribetsu Onsen

Shinnoboribetsu Onsen (新登別温泉) is a hot-spring place in Noboribetsu city, facing the Pacific, located in the northeastern part of Muroran city. There is the hot-spring place between Noboribetsu Onsen (登別温泉) and Noboribetsu Karurusu Onsen (登別カルルス温泉). 2 hot-spring ryokans, Shinnoboribetsu Onsenso (新登別温泉荘) and Ryokan Shiki (旅館四季), are open a business. Brothers from Osaka run each ryokan.

Ryokan Shiki

Ryokan Shiki is a hot-spring ryokan founded in 1974. The younger brother who is a cook from Osaka ran a business. Now his sun runs the Ryokan Shiki. It is only hot spring facility that opened throughout the year in the Shinnoboribetsu onsen. It is interesting that room names have place names of Osaka.

There are 1 open-air bath and 1 indoor bath at a bathhouse. Each bathtubs are the size that about 4 people take a bath. The bathhouse is small but cozy, too, but it has a warmth of trees. Because the open-air bath does not have a roof, it has a feeling of openness and is comfortable. Hot springs are simple sulfur spring, and are milky white and have tasteless and sulfur smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 0.558 g. The Hot springs seem to be drinkable, but I do not know details. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathhouse. A staying is possible, too.

Shinnoboribetsu Onsenso

Shinnoboribetsu Onsenso is closing a business now. A new owner take over their business and prepares for the starting business.

Shinnoboribetsu Onsenso is a hot-spring ryokan opened only in July and August and has been popular hot-spring ryokan by hot spring expert very much. The older brother couple living in Osaka come to here, and they stay here to do a business during the period. Because it is opened for only a little over 60 days, it has something different and special.

There are 3 open-air baths and 3 indoor baths at the Shinnoboribetsu Onsenso. The open-air baths have a large open-air barg, a small open-air bath, the open-air baths named Taiko-no-Yu (太閤の湯), and each indoor baths named Nankishirahama Onsen (南紀白浜温泉), Noboribtsu Onsen (登別温泉) and Beppu Onsen (別府温泉). Because the bathrooms are not divided into men and women, his wife controls the bathing order of visitors.

The open-air baths were surrounded by trees, and a view was not good, but it had a sence of openness because there was not a roof. The large open-air bath had the hottest hot springs among 3 open-air baths, and the depth of the bathtub was nearly 1 m. Taiko-no-Yu had the warmest hot springs and I enjoyed the overflowing hot springs from the bathtub. It was a comfortable moment.

As for the indoor baths, the atmospheres were the domestic bathrooms, but the hot water was genuine hot springs. Each indoor baths seem to be different from the size of the bathtub and water temperature. I was able to enjoy the overflowing hot springs from bathtub, too. But I felt good generally about open-air baths than indoor baths.

The hot springs are simple sulfur spring, and are milky white and have tasteless and sulfur smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 0.558 g. The hot springs seems to be drinkable, but I do not know that they get a permission of the public health center. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathrooms. Because a dressing room does not have a restroom, you should go to the restroom before taking off clothes. A staying is possible, too.
