Cherry Tree Is Used for commercial -Sakimori Cherry Tree in Muroran-

A Sakimori Cherry Tree (崎守の一本桜) is planted on a ranch near Muroran Interchange in Sakimori-cho (崎守町), Muroran city and is the Yezo Mountain Cherry with about 10 m in height and over 100 years old. A background changes depending on the direction that tourists see, and this view is very nice. This scenery was used for CM of Sapporo Breweries and a work of Mr. Mitsuhiko Kamata (鎌田光彦), famous photographer. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom from early May to mid May. Tourists are closed to a field and are able to look from the side of the field. Visitors should look at it on a sidewalk. A parking lot and a restroom are not provided. Many the visitors on the shoulder of a road.
