Pacific Ocean and Mountains Are Beautiful -Orofure Pass Observatory in Noboribetsu-
October 9th, 2016
Orofure Pass Observatory (オロフレ峠展望台) is a viewing point in the neighborhood of top of the Mt. Orofure between Noboribetsu city and Sobetsu town and is famous for looking over the Pacific Ocean and mountains. It is located 930 m above sea level. Another name is "Daikanbou (大観望 * Great View)". I wsa interested in former road covered with grass. White soil is chosen as geological feature 100 selections of Hokkaido. There is a trailhead for Mt. Orofure (オロフレ山), so many mountain climbers come. Traffic will be stopped from late November to mid June. There are facilities such as a restroom and a parking lot. Free admission. The parking lot is free of charge.
When I read Tweets,Orofure Pass Observatory seems to be popular.
