Brown Water and Beautiful Scenery -Oikamanai Marsh in Taiki-

July 22nd, 2017

Oikamanai Marsh (生花苗沼) is a brackish water marsh facing Pacific Ocean in Toyokoro located in the southeastern part of Obihiro. The perimeter of the marsh is about 12 km. Brown water of the marsh caught my eyes. Marine Sports such as a canoe and a jet ski can be enjoyed in a summer. Corbicula is famous, too. In mid July, ordinary people can catch corbiculae once a year. An observation hut for wild bird watching seemed to be built around the Oikamanai Marsh, but I was not able to discover it. Admission free. A parking lot is free of charge. There is Bansei Onsen (晩成温泉) near the marsh.
