In a summer, trees grow thickly, so a view is not good. But the view seems to be good in other seasons. It is popular for looking up at the night sky while bathing. All the baths use heated hot springs.

Maruseppu Onsen Yamabiko

Maruseppu Onsen Yamabiko is a public hot spring facility for day trip onsen at the Ikoi-no-Mori park, and has opened a business since 1998. A lot of campers and Ikoi-no-Mori park users take a bath. An entrance fee to a bath facility is JPY 500. A restraunt and a shop are at the building, too. They open at 10:00 a.m. But, they had already opened around 9:50 a.m when I visited here. They borrowed to me a piece of hand towel when I paid the entrance fee to a bath facility.

They have 2 types of large public bathhouses, Japanese-style bathhouse "Ki-no-Yu (木の湯)" and Western-style bathhouse "Yama-no-Yu (山の湯)", and the bathhouses for men or women are replaced every day. I took a bath at the Ki-no-Yu. There are 1 open-air bath, 1 indoor bath, 1 medicated bath, 2 cascading baths, 1 cold bath and 1 sauna at the bathhouse. The bathhouse is not large, but the sunny bathhouse with large windows is feeling good. The indoor bath is the size that about 10 people can take a bath, and it has a rugged rock wall, and hot springs fall from there. The medicated bath is the size that about 3 people can take a bath, and the cascading baths seat 2 people.
