Kenichi Onsen
Kenichi Onsen (見市温泉) is a hot spring place in Kumaishi, Yakumo town located in the northwestern part of Hakodate city. Only Kenichi Onsen Ryokan (見市温泉旅館) is built at about 60 m above sea level between Kumoishi National Route (雲石国道 * Nationa Route 277) and Kenichi River (見市川) at the foot of Kumoishi Pass (雲石峠), and is one of secret onsen in Yakumo. The distance between the Kenichi Onsen and the center of the Yakumo is around 30 km, Unfortunately, restraunts, cafes, cafes, souvenir shops and convenience stores are not built around the Kenichi Onsen. It is the origin of the Kenichi Onsen that Mr. Yokichi Otsuka (大塚要吉), the founder, saw a damaged bear that soaked its body in a hot spring pond on the shore of the Kenichi River when he tramped over hills during the Keio year of the Edo period. After that, he built an onsen hut in 1868, and up to now.

The Yakumo is an unusual town with 2 seas, the Pacific Ocean and the sea of Japan. Famous tourist attractions in the Yakumo are Funkawan Panorama Park (噴火湾パノラマパーク) and Yakumo Ranch (八雲町育成牧場). Speaking of tasty restaurants in the Yakumo, Harvester Yakumo (ハーベスター八雲), Iseya Shokudo (伊勢屋食堂) and Elfin Motoyama Ranch Milk (エルフィン元山牧場牛乳) are popular in particular. I ate sushi and buckwheat noodles at Kameya (亀や) and Marumi Shokkudo (まるみ食堂). Those were so tasty.
Funkawan Panorama Park
Hills Station "Yakumo Panorama Museum" is a roadside station with an ocean view on a small hill in Yakumo town located in the northwest of Hakodate city and is next to Harvester Yakumo (ハーベスター八雲) that is known for a tasty chicken. There are Auto Resort Yakumo, Park Golf Course, Picnic Square, Flower Field at the Hills Station "Yakumo Panorama Museum" and those are composite facilities. Children seem to enjoy it, too. This is a place well-known for its scenic beauty particularly. Free admission. A parking lot is free of charge. Article is here

Kameya
Kameya (亀や) is a long-established sushi restaurant in Yakumo town located in the northwest part of Hakodate city and was founded in 1968. This sushi restraunt is famous for getting the Bib Gourmand in MICHELIN GUIDE Hokkaido 2012 Special Edition. There is a building near Yakumo station, but Kameya has no parking lot. Therefore I parked my car in the parking lot of Yakumo Station. Article is here

Marumi Shokudo
Marumi Shokudo (まるみ食堂) is a long-established restaurant in Yakumo town and was founded in 1958. A building is next to Yakumo station and they run an accommodation, too. I visited Yakumo, so I planned to eat Yakumo buckwheat noodles. However, in the first place I misunderstood about Yakumo buckwheat noodles. I thought that it was a kind of buckwheat noodles. Marumi Shokudo uses buckwheat flour produced in Horokanai. By the way, the Yakumo buckwheat noodles is a name of the restaurant. Article is here

List of Day Trip Onsen
Visitors can take a day trip bath at the Kenichi Onsen Ryokan.

Kenichi Onsen Ryokan
Kenichi Onsen Ryokan (見市温泉旅館) is a small-sized long-established onsen ryokan surrounded by trees, and has opened a business since 1868, and is famous for looking over excellent view at an open-air bath. An entrance fee to a bath facility is JPY 500. A staying is possible, too, and abalone dishes have a good reputation.

There are 1 open-air bath and 1 indoor bath at a public bathhouse. The tiled bathhouse is not large, but the sunny bathhouse with large windows is feeling good. The indoor bath is the size that about 10 people can take a bath. 100% natural hot springs flow freely into the bathtub, and overflow to an outlet too. The indoor bath has a faucet for cold water, so it is allowed to add the water for lowering the water temperature. It is said that the indoor bath is very hot. But I enjoyed suitable water temperature.

The open-air bath surrounded by rocks is the size that about 5 people can take a bath. The Kaitorima River flows in fron of bather's eyes, and a sense of openness can be enjoyed. 100% natural hot springs are poured into a bathtub, and flow to an outlet. A pot is used as a bucket for some reason. The hot springs were too hot to me, and I was not able to take a bath only 3 seconds. Bad luck! The hot springs seem to be unsuitable for bathing depending on seasons or various situations. I do not blame the hot springs because of blessings of nature. In addition, cherry blossoms can be enjoyed in a spring, fresh green can be enjoyed in a summer, fall foliage can be enjoyed in an autumn, and snow can be enjoyed in a winter while bathing.

The hot springs are sodium chloride spring, and are opaque and light yellow and have salty taste and no smell, and are not drinkable unfortunately. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 5.106 g/kg. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathhouse. A paid hair dryer is insalled at a dressing room, but there is not a restroom. You should get a wash beforehand at the restroom at a corridor.
