Soft Hot Springs That Mt. Yotei Give Gift of Nature -Kawakami Onsen in Kyogoku-

Kawakami Onsen Ryokan
Kawakami Onsen Ryokan (川上温泉旅館) is a long-established hot-spring ryokan in Kyogoku town located in the southwestern part of Sapporo city and was founded in 1925. The exterior appearance and the interior decoration have an atmosphere such as the Showa period. The exterior appearance looks like a Japanese old style store, so a madam said "Many people have misunderstood this onsen is closed." But it opens a business properly. An entrance fee is JPY 500. A restroom is installed at a dressing room. A staying is possible, too.
A bathroom is small, and I think this is a bathroom of a Japanse ordinary ryokan. There is 1 indoor bath that about 4 people can take a bath at the bathroom. There are ruins of an outdoor bath, and I guess that bathers used to take a bath comfortably while looking at Mt. Yotei (羊蹄山). Hot springs are simple hot spring, and are clear and colorless and have neither taste nor smell. Heated hot springs are used from the hot spring source, and are soft to the feel. I remenber the mineral water of Kyogoku Fukidashi Park (京極吹き出し公園). I guess that the hot springs are used as the hot water of showers and faucets. By the way, the bathers open the valve if the bathers want to heat the hot springs. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathroom.
