Gamushi Onsen Ryokan (俄虫温泉旅館) is a long-established ryokan in Assabu town located in the northwestern part of Hakodate city and was founded in 1976. Gamushi is a place name and means "Place that many bears live" in Ainu language. In that kind of meaning, this place was indeed terrible. There are 1 open-air bath, 1 indoor bath, 1 whirlpool bath, 1 cold bath and 1 sauna at a bathhouse. Hot springs are simple hot spring, and are clear and colorless and have tasteless and no smell. Unfortunately, the hot springs are not drinkable. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathhouse. A staying is possible, too.
