Chihasegawa Onsen Ryokan
Chihasegawa Onsen Ryokan (ちはせ川温泉旅館) is a hot-spring ryokan in Shimamaki village facing the Sea of Japan located in the northern part of Hakodate city. Hot springs were discovered in 1871. There is a building near Garo Falls (賀老の滝) and Dragon Water (ドラゴンウォーター). By the way, the Dragon Water is carbonated spring that is gushing out from cracks of rocks. A taste is just like Perrier. It is tasty natural carbonated spring and seems to be effective for Chronic digestive diseases, Constipation and Anemia. The Dragon Water is connected with the Dragon King Legend of the Garo Falls and was named. Nature has been preserved largely in Shimamaki villege, and events such as International Candy Trout Fishing Derby (国際アメマスダービー) is held, too.

Appearance and interior decoration of the building have an atmosphere such as Showa period. There is 1 indoor bath at a bathhouse. Fresh hot springs flow freely. The hot spring ingredient precipitated, and a floor and a bathtub looks like Pamukkale. I could not help oohing and aahing when I saw the beautiful design that nature created. There was an open-air bath, too, but is not used now. The hot springs are sodium chloride carbonated spring, and are opaque and dark reddish-brown and have metallic taste and a little metallic taste smell. The sum total of the hot spring ingredients are 5.416 g. The hydrogen carbonate ions has 2,161 mg.
The hot springs seems to be drinkable, too, but I could not find the drinking hot spring facility. It seems to be effective for Chronic digestive diseases, Chronic constipation, Gout, Diabetes and Liver disease. Shampoos and body soaps are provided at the bathhouse. But a shower did not run well. Because there was not a restroom at a dressing room, You should get a wash beforehand at the restroom at a corridor. In addition, a staying is possible, too.
